Prime Time Spies
“Fifteen Minutes of Fame can Kill”
CIA agent Victoria Kingsley is assigned to become a contestant on Spy Games, America’s number one new reality TV show, on which eight men and eight women compete in fantasy spy missions for a million dollars. When her routine mission to discover the plan for a high tech weapons deal turns deadly, the would-be television stars have no idea just how dangerous their fifteen minutes of fame will become.
Genre: Adult Espionage Thriller
This manuscript is a non-stop thrill ride blending commentary on modern media with the high-tech commercial action of a Bond screenplay. It is sure to please fans of the spy genre, complete with some villainous camp, but it will also have readers who clamor for a well-balanced lady in a lead role. Romance plays a part as the mystery of the sinister organization working behind the scenes builds.
String Theory
“Music is the key to all time and space.”
Teenage violin prodigy Crystal Aislen learns her mother, who went missing seven years ago, has been lost in time. When an eccentric scientist gives her a violin that can open time rifts, Crystal becomes impatient with the process of searching for her mother and accidentally flings herself into the past. The specialized violin is her only hope of returning home, but its strings were scattered throughout history as she fell through time. Unless she can find all four before the temporal energy of the time rift runs out, she will be trapped in the past forever.
Genre: Middle Grade Time Travel
This manuscript was inspired by independent musicians who made it big in the age of YouTube. It combines the best aspects of charm from films like “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” with the darker motifs of an apocalyptic future not unlike the “Terminator” franchise. My goal is to inspire young readers to look deeper into the wonders of music and how it has played a roll in our history.
Tides of Pacifica
“Love will unite the oceans.”
The fate of the oceans of the future rest on the shoulders of a young mother blessed with the abilities of the orca. Xara uses her talents to save as many people as she can from a flooded undersea city in an effort to prove herself worthy of being a mother to her son, the prophesized messiah of her people. During this effort, she frees an orca from being mind-controlled as a weapon and rescues enemy submarine pilot Mark Muldoon from a watery grave. The three band together in a journey to discover the truth of the Nautican civil war and free a nation from the oppression of a Theocracy.
Genre: Adult Science Fiction Adventure and Romance
This manuscript was inspired by the theme of phycological independence and breaking free of abuse of all types. It is a story taking place in a setting rarely used these days in science fiction and fantasy, and is written in a literary style. There is an enemies to lovers romance, but it is blended in with an even larger motif demonstrating a healthy symbiotic relationship between man and nature.
Justice Jameson and the Last Star Dragon
“Starlight is ignited with the hope of a dragon.”
Stranded in the gladiatorial arenas of an alien world, Justice Jameson believes he is the last of his kind. Even though his body is enhanced by a sentient nanomachine network, his chances of survival are low when he is sent to his first death match. Justice triumphs when unexpected power is unleashed by his symbiotic AI, and the display impresses the master of one of the wealthiest gladiator schools. He attempts to recruit Justice by hinting at the existence of another human warrior. Desperate not to be alone in the galaxy, Justice exercises his only freedom—to choose the house for which he fights. When he earns the respect of the half-human leader of a gladiator rebellion, she entrusts him to awaken their best hope for freedom—an ancient Star Dragon
Genre: Adult “Kung Fu” Space Western
This story in particular follows the classic monomyth outlined by Joseph Campbell, but it has the right ingredients from all my favorite science fiction stories. I imagine a world based on the latest expoplanet findings in our galaxy and create a space western blended with elements of Kung Fu theater and shonen manga. These sub genres progress through an action-packed plot to a thrilling conclusion in the vein of the best Sentai (team of five warriors) stories like Voltron and the Power Rangers.
